When can you visit the camps/retreats?
Thanedar and Sojha are operational through out
the year. Sangla Camp and retreats at Tabo and Kaza are
operational from April to October.

What is the medical help available in the camps/retreats?
The camps/retreats are equipped with First-Aid kits and a
doctor is just a call away in case required. [Back to top]
What kind of weather can we expect in camps/retreats?
The temperature can vary from 6-7 degrees Celsius at night
in the summer to about 28 degrees Celsius during the
daytime in June. Whereas Spiti falls in rain shadow area
and gets scanty rainfall, the rest of the places receive
their fair share of rainfall during July and August.

What kind of warm clothing is required?
The days from April to October are warm and one can get by
in a T-shirt or light jacket. Early mornings and evenings
being colder, light woolens from May to August are
recommended. Please carry heavy woolens for April,
September and October.

What is the condition of the roads?
Considering that most of our camps/retreats are in off
beat destinations, the roads are in good condition. The
road to Tabo and Kaza from Shimla is also in good
condition. The road from Rohtang Pass to Tabo and Kaza is
not fully black top and only jeeps are recommended.
All vehicles are recommended for drive to the
camps/retreats. However, for greater driving pleasure,
vehicles with higher clearance should be preferred.

What is the recommended stay in camps/retreats?
Minimum 4-5 nights in Sangla Camp and 3-4 nights in

Are there any organized tours also?
Yes, we do tailor made tours and jeep safaris
covering one or more of our camps/retreats. [Back to top]
What is the source of water?
Water is sourced from either natural springs or from
mountain streams, which is then filtered through Aqua
Guard. [Back to top]
What documents are required for the 'Inner Line' permits?
Indian nationals no longer require permits for visiting
Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti. Foreign nationals would
require the following documents for getting the permit to
visit Tabo: 3 passport size photos, passport and visa with
2 photocopies of each. For visiting certain areas in
Ladakh, permits are required which are easily available in Leh. [Back to top]
Do you Organise tours for groups?
Yes, we do organise tours for big family groups, camping
excursion tours for school groups and training programs/
conferences/ picnics for corporate at the venue
convenient to you. These tours can be tailor-made to suit
the requirements of the family/school/corporate and the
objective of the tour and can be given an educational,
cultural, adventure or a specific activity focus. Contact
