MAGICAL BHUTAN TOUR (14 nights 15 days)
Take a cultural journey through the entire width of Bhutan from
west to east. Savour the local flavour of each region
moving further and further back in times till we reach the
outermost outpost of Bhutan.

Day 1: Paro
Arrive in Paro; a scenic town situated in a terraced
valley in Bhutan. Transfer to hotel. Familiarization and
sightseeing.
Day 2: Paro
Explore the valley, visiting several sacred sites in and
around Paro.
Day 3: Paro- Thimphu - 65 kms/2 hrs
Hike to Taktsang (the Tiger’s nest) monastery on a steep
trail through the forest. You may also choose to do more
sightseeing of Paro and opt out of hiking. In the
afternoon, we drive to Thimphu and check into a hotel.
Day 4: Thimphu
Explore the capital of Bhutan. The adventurous ones may
choose to hike in the forested countryside near Thimphu.
Day 5: Thimphu - Punakha valley - 77 kms/3.5 hrs
Drive to Punakha valley; Bhutan’s winter capital over
Dochu La (10000 ft.). Night stay in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Punakha valley
Visit the Punakha Dzong, one of the most scenically
situated dzongs in the country and take a short hike over
the rice paddies to the small and charming Chimi temple.
Day 7: Punakha valley - Gangtey valley - 60 kms/2 hrs
Drive to Gangtey valley, the winter home to the rare and
endangered black necked cranes. Visit the 17th century
monastery.
Day 8: Gangtey valley - Bumthang - 150 kms/5-6 hrs
Drive to Bumthang valley enjoying panoramic surroundings
and visit weavers of Chumey valley.
Day 9: Bumthang valley
Bumthang valley is the cultural and spiritual center of
the country. Today we visit various monasteries and
pilgrimage sites.
Day 10: Bumthang valley - Mongar - 198 kms/7 hrs
Drive to Mongar across Thrumshing la (12500 Ft); offering
spectacular mountain views.
Day 11: Mongar - Trashigang - 90 kms/4 hrs
Drive to Trashigang. It is the biggest settlement in East
Bhutan. Visit the impressive dzong here.
Day 12: Trashigang - Trashiyangtse - Trashigang
A half day excursion to Trashiyangtse.
Day 13: Trashigang- Samdrup Jongkhar- 180 kms/6 hrs
Drive to the border town; Samdrup Jongkhar. The scenery
and vegetation changes as you drive through light mountain
jungle.
Day 14: Samdrup Jongkhar - Guwahati (Assam) - 110 kms/3
hrs
Drive to Guwahati in Assam in India. Night stay in
Guwahati.
Day 15: Fly back/train back
Extend your tour to Sikkim or fly back to Delhi/ Kolkata
