This is an altered and more exciting version of Har- Ki- Dun trek wherein we begin the trek close to Tons valley in Uttarakhand, follow the Rupin, Supin Rivers for a while and end the trek in the beautiful Sangla valley in Himachal.

    Day 1:  Delhi - Mussoorie - 4.5 hrs in train and 1.5 hrs road drive

    Reach Dehradun by Shatabdi and drive to Mussoorie. Night stay in hotel.

    Day 2:  Mussoorie - Sankri- 160 kms/ 5-6 hrs

    After breakfast, drive to sankri. Today, the drive gets interesting with long winding and narrow roads. We head to the Tons river valley; one of the lesser known but very beautiful part of Uttarakhand. Reach Sankri and stay the night in tents. Sankri is a lovely little hamlet with Swargarohini peak serving as its back drop. Your trek begins from Sankri.

    Day 3:  Sankri - Taluka - 1900M - 14 kms/4-5 hrs

    From Sankri the track is well marked and passes through a dense forest with breathtaking views of the valley sprawled below and the gushing river Rupin flowing in all its might. Taluka, a small hamlet lays on the banks of the river Supin, and is known for its beautiful "Pahari cottages" made out of an intricate wood, stone and mud ensemble - a must see, as it is considered earthquake proof. Overnight stay in tents.

    Day 4:  Taluka - Osla - 2560M - 13 kms/7 hrs

    Another lovely day on trek. Osla has very dense forests of walnut, chestnut and willow.

    Day 5:  Osla - Har Ki Doon - 3566M- 12 kms - 6 hrs

    The walk is through lush green terraced fields, grassy lands and very thick conifer forest.

    Day 6:  Har Ki Doon - Lal Pathar - 4250M (16kms/8hr)

    A long day’s hike to Lal Pathar.

    Day 7:  Lal Pathar - Base Camp (12kms/8hr)

    A difficult uphill walk of 7- 8 hr to the base camp 4,545m.

    Day 8:  Base Camp - Camp 1

    This is the common catchments area for the Yamuna and Baspa rivers (flowing through Sangla Valley). The Barsu Pass has to be crossed early in the morning. The pass at 5,150m offers excellent panoramic views of the Dhauladhar range.

    Day 9:  Camp 1 - Ranikanda (16kms/7hr)

    Steep and then gradual downhill walk to the grasslands of Ranikanda on the banks of the river Baspa. Very popular site with the shepherds of Kinnaur.

    Day 10:  Ranikanda - Chitkul- Sangla- (21kms/7hr hike and 19 kms/ 1 hr drive)

    Very gradual downhill walk along the river Baspa with Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal looming large on either side of the Sangla Valley. Chitkul, 3,450m is the last village on the old Indo Tibetan trade route. Drive down to Banjara Camp on the banks of river Baspa 19kms/1hr.

    Day 11:  Sangla - Thanedar - 156 kms/ 6 hrs

    Leave for Thanedar after a leisurely breakfast. Drive along the Sutlej River for most of the way. Check into the retreat on arrival. Rest of the evening at leisure.

    Day 12:  Drop at Chandigarh railway station/ airport - 6 hrs
