Bougain Villa is our luxury homestay in a 330 acre gated residential community in Dera Bassi, a peaceful satellite town of Chandigarh that’s bang on the route leading to the high mountains. It’s the perfect overnight halt at either end of your trip to the inner reaches of the Himachal Himalaya: on the way up for those reaching IXC only by evening and on the way back, in case the return flight leaves in the morning – early afternoon window. Of course, in fair weather it is also a great base to explore the sights of Chandigarh.

It is a two storey bungalow that features interiors with ample natural light through the skylight; tastefully decorated living, dining, lounging and sleeping spaces interspersed with potted greenery – over 500 plants including Bougainvillea,  and a liberal sprinkling of handpicked objet d’art and furniture pieces.

The lady of the house and your host here is Chandrika, better half of Capt. Ajay Sud – the Banjara Camps co-founder: so trademark Banjara’s warm hospitality and delectable, finger-licking food are pretty much the norm here!

Accomodation

The homestay features 4 independent AC guest bedrooms with en suite facilities. Guests have access to all areas except the host’s bedroom.
